2026 hawai’i legislative session RECAP

We have exciting news to share: SB 3199 has advanced to conference committee — a significant milestone in our 2026 legislative session.

This bill would establish an Emerging Therapies Task Force in Hawaiʻi, creating a formal state body to study and provide recommendations on innovative mental health treatments, including psychedelic-assisted therapies. Reaching conference committee means the bill has passed both chambers and legislators are now working to reconcile the final details.

We're grateful for the advocacy of our community and the champions in the legislature who have helped bring us to this point. We'll continue to share updates as the session moves toward a close.
